John Arthur Borgen, 98, of Stuart, passed away January 20, 2020 at his residence. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and had relocated to Stuart in 1964. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during World War II. He was a quality control inspector in the aircraft industry for Grumman Aircraft before retirement. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Stuart. John was a member of Friends of Bill W. since 1963 and at the time of his death had 56 years.
He is survived by his daughters, Janet Cassidy of Jupiter, Linda Mace of Okeechobee, Joan Eubank (Harvey) of Stuart, Nancy Barkheimer (Tom) of Hobe Sound; granddaughters, Karen Francis (Charlie) of Jupiter and Jenna Barkheimer of Hobe Sound; grandsons, Kevin Cassidy of Ft. Lauderdale and Ryan Barkheimer (Christian) of Alabama and great grandson, Chris, Nick and Jack Francis of Jupiter and Rowan Jansky of Alabama. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Borgen in 2017 and son in law Charles Mace.
Visitation: 10:00 – 11:00 AM, Monday, January 27, 2020 at Forest Hills Funeral Home Palm City Chapel.
Funeral service will follow immediately at 11:00 AM in the chapel.
Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
