John Fennell, 82, of Port St. Lucie, passed away February 20, 2020 at the Life Care Center in Port St. Lucie.  He was born in Brooklyn, NY, and had been a Florida resident since  having relocated from St. Louis, MO.  John was a retired veteran, and before retirement, he had been an air traffic controller for the U.S. Air Force.

He enjoyed golfing, playing poker and discussing politics.

He is survived by his daughters, Heather Baer and her husband Mark of Stuart; grandson, Matthew Baer; Lisa Fennell and her husband Glenn Wood of Stuart; Leslie Fennell of Port St. Lucie; Laura Haberman of Daytona Beach; grandson, Luke Haberman; granddaughters; Emma Sadofski and Hannah Sadofski; brother, Jimmy Fennell and his wife, Camille of Ocala and sister, Joyce Andis and her husband Richard of Evansville, IN.

Memorial service:  2:00 PM, Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City Chapel.

Inurnment will follow in Forest Hills memorial Park with military honors.
