Obituary of John Hemberger
John "Jack" Hemberger, 77, of Palm City, died October 6, 2009 at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart. He was born in New York, NY, and had been a resident of Palm City for 23 years, having moved from Armonk, NY. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines, serving during the Korean Conflict. John was the owner/operator of M&H Food Brokers before retirement. He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Palm City. He was a 4th degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus, and a member of the Whippoorwill Country Club in NY and Martin Downs Country Club in Palm City.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Catherine Hemberger of Palm City; son, John Hemberger Jr. of Stuart; daughters, Laura Cashmore of Kansas City, MO and Karen Hughes of Raleigh, NC; son, Stephen Hemberger of Woodstock, NY; five grandchildren; sister, Theresa Costarino of Palm City; and brother, Robert Hemberger of Long Island, NY.
A memorial mass will be held 10:00AM Thursday, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Palm City.
