Obituary of John McKevitt
John J. McKevitt, of Stuart, died March 26, 2010 at Martin Nursing and Restorative Care in Stuart. He was born in Baldwin, NY and had been a resident of Stuart for 18 years, having moved from Merrick, NY.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during WWII. He had been a tradesman in construction before retirement. He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Palm City and was a life time member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary McKevitt of Stuart; son, Christopher McKevitt of Stuart; daughter, Ellen Ceraulo of Stuart; 3 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and sisters, Katherine Kane of CA, Gertrude Conlon of Binghamton, NY, and Ann Tumey of Greenville, NY. He was preceded in death by his sister Rose Jagel.
Services will be Wednesday April 21, 2010 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church at 10:00 AM.
Arrangements are entrusted to Forest Hills Funeral Homes, Palm City Chapel.
