John Parera Villalva, 94, of Palm City, FL went to meet God July 26, 2017.
He was born March 22, 1923 in Lisbon, Portugal to Tomaz Parera and Firmiana Villalva Parera. John came to New York as a young man.
He owned and ran the International Division of Akwell Industries which was eventually purchased by Pfizer. After selling his business, he moved to Florida and began a new career as a sculptor. John studied in Pietrasanta, Italy and the United States with several master sculptors. In Florida, his work has been seen in many galleries.

John is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Villalva; sister, Marie Gomes of Monaco; daughters, Patty Heilman (George) of Thornwood, NY and Diane Nuttycombe (Ed) of Madison, WI; stepson, Rob Atkisson (Michele) of Tallahassee, FL; stepdaughters, Kathy Kline (Victor) of Orlando, FL and Jennifer Atkisson Lovett (Jay) of Palm City, FL. John had 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
John will rest in the Butterfly Garden II at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City, FL.
There will be a private service at a later date.
