Mr. John Lewis Stumbo Sr. went peacefully  to be with the Lord on June 26, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 31, 1932 in Printer Kentucky, he grew up in and around eastern Kentucky; Portsmouth, Ohio; and Parkersburg, WV areas. After 4 years in the Navy as a SeaBee, spending time in Guam, Japan, and Korea he married the love of his life on July 23, 1955 and they raised 4 children together. John had a rewarding career that included being a Structural Iron Worker, OTR Truck Driver, Business Owner, and retiring as a Martin County Fire Fighter. They resided several years in Niagara Falls, NY; Bridgeville, DE; Indiantown FL; and Germanton, NC, before retiring to Port St. Lucie, FL. He was an avid woodworker, home remodeler, mechanic and he enjoyed building and designing most any project even for friends and family. He spent many Saturdays navigating his bride to yard sales for items of interest they collected together. He is survived by 4 children, John Jr. (Barbara), Gwen Marchand (Rick), Pam O'Shea (Dan), and Mike (Kelly). Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family of 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren all of whom he loved spending time with as much as possible. The family will receive friends from 11am to 1pm on Monday July 26, 2021 with a service Immediately following at 1pm at the Forest Hills Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Palm City Florida.
