Jon Benjamin Schmoyer, born February 6, 1969, passed away June 6, 2018

Ben was born in Stuart, Florida. After graduating from Martin County High School, he furthered his education and received a bachelor's degree in accounting from Clemson University followed by a master's degree in corporate taxation from Florida State University.

Upon completing his education, he was employed by the public accounting firm Deloitte and Touche for 10 years, where he specialized in corporate tax. For the next 15 years he held executive level positions in the corporate tax departments of Rinker Materials, Office Depot and Ryder Systems.

Ben leaves behind: his parents, Mr. & Mrs. James B. Schmoyer, Sr.; his loving companion, Laurie Spector and daughter Grace; his brother, James B. Schmoyer, Jr., his wife Michele, and their two children, Kara and Laura; and his sister, Sarah Elizabeth, her husband Dennis Wiebe II, and their three children, Emily, Dennis III and Kristin.

Services were privately held.  Arrangements were under the direction of Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City, FL. Condolences may be shared through this online guestbook.
