Joseph M. Ascrizzi, 79, of Palm City, FL, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2016 at Good Samaritan Medical Center, West Palm Beach, FL.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, he had been a resident of Palm City for 11 years coming from Saddle River, NJ.
He was a veteran of the US Army. He received his BS in Chemical Engineering from the Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute in New York.
Prior to retiring Joseph was a Vice President/Project Director with ABB Lummus Global Inc. in New Jersey where he worked for 44 years. He spent his last 8 years working in Rome, Italy.
He was a member and lector at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Palm City. He was also a member of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem and the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Rosemarie Ascrizzi of Palm City; his son Dr. Vincent Ascrizzi and his wife Molly of Great Falls, VA; his daughters, Karen Morgan of Atlantic Beach, FL and Michelle Coviello and her husband Charles of Charlotte, NC; his sister Rose Marie Panebianco and her husband Joseph of Palm City; his brother Victor Ascrizzi and his wife Carol of Arroyo Grande, CA and 7 grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at the Forest Hills Funeral Home Palm City Chapel with a Vigil Prayer Service at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Palm City. Interment will follow immediately after the mass in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
