Obituary of Joseph Cassio
Joseph V. Cassio Sr., 99, of Stuart, FL, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2014 at the University Hospital, Tamarac, FL.
Born in New York, New York, he been currently residing in Tamarac but had lived in Stuart for 18 years, coming from Tamarac. He came to Florida from Rahway, New Jersey.
Before retiring he had been a realtor with the Fort Lauderdale Realty Board for 10 years. Prior to that, he had been a junior executive and engineer with Merck Pharmaceutical in Rahway for 30 years.
He had been a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Stuart.
Survivors include his son, Joseph V. "Skip" Cassio Jr. and his wife, Jacqueline; a daughter, Linda Taylor and her husband, John of Palm City; five grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Aileen Cassio, a grandson Joseph V. Cassio III and six siblings.
SERVICES: Visitation will be at the Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City, FL on Saturday, February 8, 2014 from 12:00 to 1:00 PM with a service at 1:00 PM. Interment will be private in the Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
