Obituary of Joseph Gallo
Joseph Gallo, 96, of Palm City, Florida, died October 26, 2010 at his residence.
Born in the Astoria, New York, he had been a resident of Palm City for the 28 years coming from Whitestone, New York.
During World War II, he served in the United States Army.
Before retiring, he was a general contractor and home builder in Queens County, New York. He also worked in his retirement at the Palm City Publix Store for 15 years.
He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years Anne Gallo in 2004.
Survivors include a son, Joseph P. Gallo of Palm City; a daughter, Jeanine Coffinas of Palm City; a sister, Florence Siletti of Glens Falls, New York; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM October 29, 2010 at Forest Hills Funeral Home - Palm City Chapel with a Vigil Prayer service at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on October 30, 2010 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
