Obituary of Joseph Giannettino
Joseph Daniel Giannettino, 100, of Port St. Lucie died February 6, 2014 at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and had been a resident of the Treasure Coast for 25 years, having moved from West Babylon, NY. He was a Master Tool & Dye Machinist before retirement. He also did Television repairs, wrote music and poetry in memory of his wife, and was an accomplished baker. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie. He had been awarded Senior Citizen of the Year in Port St. Lucie, and he worked diligently to organize and plan a Senior Center in Port St. Lucie, which was never built.
He is survived by his daughter, Angela Pisacone of Glen Cove, NY; grandchildren, Joseph, Diana and Joanna Pisacone; Dawn and Tommy Valentin; Denise, Peter, Isabella, P.J. and Jacob Serra; Tara and Toni; and his sisters, Mary Nasta and Katherine Scalesse. He was preceded in death by his son, Salvatore and his wife, Angie.
Visitations: 2:00-4:00PM & 6:00 - 8:00PM, Monday, February 10, 2014 at Forest Hills Funeral Homes, Palm City Chapel.
Funeral Service: 10:30AM Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2330 SE Mariposa Ave., Port St. Lucie.
