Obituary of Joseph Gigante
Joseph P. Gigante, 85, of Palm City, Florida, died June 8, 2010 at Stuart Nursing and Restorative Care, Stuart, Florida.
Born in Hoboken, New Jersey, he lived in the Stuart and Palm City for 30 years coming from Upper Saddle River, New Jersey.
During World War II he served in the U.S. Army Air Force.
Before retiring he was residential building contractor.
He was member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Palm City. He had been a member of a traveling bowling league and had bowled three perfect "300" games. He was an avid and accomplished golfer shooting two "Holes in One".
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Elizabeth Gigante of Palm City; daughters, Kathy Sherman of Cary, North Carolina, Peachy Schuerman and Mara Gigante, both of Stuart and Maureen March of Brielle, New Jersey; a brother Rudy Gigante of New Jersey; a sister Ginny Audino of Massachusetts; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
SERVICES: Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on June 11, 2010 at the Forest Hills Funeral Homes, Palm City Chapel with a vigil service at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on June 12, 2010 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Military Honors will follow, provided by the Patrick Air Force Base Honor Guard.
