Obituary of Joseph Kirkpatrick

Joseph Kirkpatrick, 85, of Port St. Lucie, FL, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at the St. Lucie Medical Center, Port St. Lucie.

Born in Charlotte, NC, he had been a resident of Port St. Lucie for 16 years coming from Bronx, NY.

Prior to retiring he was a detective with the New York Police Department. He was a member of the PBA, the Guardians Association and the DEA.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Constance Kirkpatrick of Port St. Lucie; his children, Marilyn Brown and her husband Franklin of Bronx, Darrell Kirkpatrick and his wife Sharon of New York, NY, Sandra Ortiz of Port St. Lucie and Debra Logan McKoy and her husband Walter of Hampton, VA; his brother William Kirkpatrick and his wife Sandra of Albuquerque, NM; his grandchildren, Joey, Giuseppe, Kareem, Darrell, Che, Christopher, Kiersten and Daniel and his great grandchildren, Joshua, Justin, London, Krishuan, Casen and Aiden. He was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Kirkpatrick III.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Friday, October 2, 2015 at the Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City, FL with a service in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 PM followed by entombment in Forest Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum, Palm City.
