Joseph Marini, age 91, of Hutchinson Island, Florida, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2022.

Joseph was born in New York City on February 4, 1931 to the late Loretto and Carmela Marini. He spent his youth in Manhattan with his brothers, the late Donato and Costanzo Marini. Joseph earned two degrees in civil and mechanical engineering at the City College of New York.

Joseph married his wife of 71 years, Isabel Troiano, in 1951. He worked in many different engineering firms and later started his own business. Joseph held the position of deputy commissioner of the building department of New York City. Joseph was a devoted father to the late Maria Jacobson and John Marini. He is survived by his wife Isabel Marini of Hutchinson Island, Florida, his son Nicholas Marini and his wife Theresa Marini of Denville, New Jersey, his daughter in law Maureen Marini of Shelton, Connecticut, his granddaughters Christina and Isabelle Jacobson of Wallingford, Connecticut, his granddaughter Nicole Miller and her husband Shane Miller of Denville, New Jersey, his grandson Joseph Marini and his wife Antonia Marini of Roanoke, Virginia, his granddaughters Anna Maria and Meaghan Marini of Shelton, Connecticut, his granddaughter Sarah Marini of Denville, New Jersey, and his great grandchildren Sam and Edie Miller of Denville, New Jersey. He also leaves behind one granddog, Lilly, who he greatly enjoyed taking on walks through the neighborhood in his later years.

Joseph devoted his life to his family. He found joy in cooking meatballs, swimming in the pool, smoking cigars, and playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Joseph Marini will be remembered as a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. We will miss him immensely.

Joseph will be remembered on Saturday, November 12 at 11 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Mountain Lakes, NJ.
