Obituary of Joseph Murphy

Joseph A. Murphy, JR., 81, of Jensen Beach, Fl died April 7, 2012 at his residence.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. where he attended St. Joe's Prep then Pierce Business College where he met his future wife. He owned and operated his furniture business in Philadelphia. He relocated to Stuart in 1973 where he owned and operated Murphy's Furniture and Interior's in Stuart, FL. ,and was a member of St Joseph Catholic Church. He enjoyed his retirement in Jensen Beach and traveled the world.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years Bettina Murphy, sons: Joseph A. Murphy, III of Palm City, FL., John J. Murphy, M.D. of Stuart, FL., William F. Murphy, of Jensen Beach, FL., daughter Bettina Murphy-Cortese, M.D. of Miami Beach, FL.

Mass of Christian burial will be held April 13, 2012 at 10:00 AM at St Joseph Catholic Church, Entombment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City, FL.

Mass cards will be accepted for Joseph A. Murphy, JR.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Forest Hills Funeral Homes Palm City Chapel.
