Joseph Del Prete, 59, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, passed away on March 10, 2017 at his home.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, he had been a resident of Port St. Lucie for 25 years coming from Brooklyn.

He was a restaurateur.

He was of the Catholic Faith.

Survivors include his sister, Carmela Balzano and her husband Alfonso of Port St. Lucie; his brothers, Michael Del Prete and his wife Debbie of Port St. Lucie, Pasquale Del Prete of Staten Island, New York; John Del Prete and his wife Caroline of Palm City, Florida and Anthony Del Prete and his wife Maria of Staten Island; 13 nieces and nephews and 8 great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 9:00 PM on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at the Forest Hills Funeral Homes Palm City, FL with a Vigil Prayer Service at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 17, 2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Port St. Lucie. Interment will follow immediately in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
