Joseph Sandor, 94, passed away June 20, 2017. He was born on April 8, 1923 in Braddock, PA and had been a resident of Hobe Sound for over 25 years. He was married for 69 years to the late Clara Sandor. Joe served in the U.S. Navy during WWII aboard LST496. He was a Purple Heart recipient for his services during D-Day. He was a past commander and founding member of the V.F.W. Post 10132 in Hobe Sound.
Joe is survived by his two daughters, Sandy (Joe) Pisano and Linda (Frank) Santuccio and four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Visitation: 12:00 - 2:00 PM, Monday, June 26, 2017 at Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City Chapel.
Funeral Service to follow at 2:00 PM in the Chapel
Interment following services in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to V.F.W. Post 10132 in Hobe Sound.
