Obituary of Joseph Trainor
Joseph V. Trainor, 85, of Palm City, Florida, died May 25, 2011at Treasure Coast Hospice Hay-Madeira House, Stuart.
Born in Salem, Massachusetts, he had been a resident of Palm City and Stuart for 17 years coming from Newburyport, Massachusetts.
During World War II he served in the US Navy aboard the USS Alabama in the South Pacific.
Before retiring he was network manager with ATT/New England Telephone for many years. He attended St. Andrew Catholic Church, Stuart and was an Elk, a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Telephone Pioneers.
Survivors include a son Paul Trainor of Marshfield, Massachusetts; daughters, Marcia Grant of Newburyport, Massachusetts and Carol Snow of Georgetown, Massachusetts; a sister, Mary Ellen McMahon of Rockland, Massachusetts; his loving companion Constance Chisholm; five grandchildren, James Grant, Ellen Grant, Kelly Gonzalez, Patrick Snow and Mary Snow and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife M. Virginia Trainor; a sister Louise MacGregor and a brother Charles Trainor.
Services and inurnment will be at a later date in Massachusetts.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Forest Hills Funeral Homes Palm City Chapel.
