Josephine Carone Tedesco was born in the Bronx, NY.

She passed away peacefully at the age of 86 in Stuart, Florida.

Josephine was born in the Bronx to John and Giovanna Carone, the last of 6 siblings.

She worked for 39 years at Simon and Schuster, running the Pocket Books division in a high-level management position until her retirement in the late 1990's. She married Richard Tedesco in 1981 until his passing in 2006, retiring to Palm city Florida in 1997 to the Pine Ridge Community in Palm City Florida. Here she immersed herself in a wonderful life, becoming President of the Community. And then a Board Member. For many years, Josephine was known for her generosity, giving wonderful parties and helping all those in the community, amassing a great number of friends there.

Although she never had any biological children, she treated her nieces and nephews as if they were her own. She is predeceased by her parents, John & Giovanna; & her siblings, Nicholas, Elizabeth, Catherine, Florence and Concetta.

Aunt Jo is survived by her nieces and nephews; Valerie Keller, Ron Mangione, Douglas Mangione, Richard Lorenzen, Joanne Carone Wagner, Laura Carone, & Suzanne Carone; her great-nieces & nephews; Melanie Meyers-McCarty, Kevin Keller, Kristyn Mangione Cornacchia, Autumn Saenz, Samantha Mangione, Michael Mangione, Chelsea Berenger, Amanda Stewart and Willow Mangione. She is also survived by her great-great nieces and nephews; Jack Cushman, Penelope Cushman, Payton Vigil, Joaquin and Ryder Saenz, & Luke and Jack Berenger.

A visitation will take place on Thursday, November 6, 2025 from 1 - 3 pm at the Forest Hills Funeral Home, 2001 SW Murphy Road, Palm City, FL.

A Funeral Mass for her will be held at 10 am on Friday, November 7,2025 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Palm City followed by entombment at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City, FL.
