Obituary of Joy Jones
Joy Ann Jones, 57, of Palm City, died February 22, 2011 at her residence. She was born in Dundalk, MD. She lived in Martin County most of her life, residing in Palm City for the last 27 years. Joy was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. She worked 24 years at Martin Memorial Medical Center as a medical transcriptionist, and most recently owned her own business manufacturing natural herbal soaps. She was a member of the Hand Crafted Soap Makers Guild, and a needlecrafter.
She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Bradley D. Jones of Palm City; sons, Nakai Pedron of Colorado Springs, CO and Reid Rhebb of Florissant, CO; sisters, Colleen Schultz of Boynton Beach and Carol Liddle of Palm City, half-sister Nicki Shaw and one grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nancy and Keith Rhebb; brother, Richard Shaw and step-sister, Donna Butts.
A memorial service will be held at 3:30PM, Thursday, March 3, 2011, at Forest Hills Funeral Homes, Palm City Chapel with L.C. Campbell officiating.
Flowering plants are requested rather than flower arrangements for a garden in Joy's honor.
