Judith Timms Harrison, 80, of Palm City, FL, or as we called her the most wonderful Mom a child could ever have, left us on Sunday, March 6, 2016. Judy fought a valiant fight against the effects of both cardiac and stroke difficulties and yet was still there for her children as she held them close as she was called to become a radiant star in heaven and in our hearts.
Born in Elyria, OH, Judy had been a resident of Palm City for 26 years moving from Germantown, TN. Judy experienced a bountiful life at Harbour Ridge, enjoying her friends, her garden of periwinkle, constantly visiting family and most dearly her loving husband, Bob. Their life together was one a child can look up to and know what happiness truly means.
Judy received her bachelors degree from Denison University and her masters' degree from Ohio State University. Again, being the wonderful wife and mother, Judy, a Buckeye for life, was very open minded in her acceptance of her husbands' University of Michigan pedigree.
Before retiring Judy was a psychologist with the Waltham MA School System. She also served in this capacity in several other educational institutions, but truly honed her trade on all of us who called her Mom. Thank you Mom you did a pretty darn good job.
Judy's loving survivors include her husband of 48 years, Robert W. Harrison of Palm City; her children; Richard "Chip" Harrison and his wife Kimberly, of La Jolla, CA, Michael R. Harrison and his wife Jennifer of Moscow, TN, Dr. Terry Harrison-Goldman and her husband David of Mansfield, MA, Robert W. Harrison Jr. and his wife Ayla of Atlanta, GA, Paul K. Harrison of Mitchel, South Dakota, Kirk T. Harrison of Melbourne, FL, and Amy J. Harrison of Melbourne, FL, her brother, Dr. Richard M. Timms and his wife Terri of Santa Rosa, CA; her sister, Nancy Riepple and her husband, Karl of Alexandria, OH; twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City with a service at 12:00 PM in the funeral home chapel followed by interment in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City. At 1:30 PM we will celebrate her life at the Harbour Ridge Yacht and Country Club, 12600 Harbour Ridge Blvd, Palm City, FL 34990.
Goodbye Mom we love you.
