Julia W. Lane, 97, of Palm City, passed away April 14, 2016 at Palm City Nursing Home in Palm City. She was born in Salerno, and had been a resident all of her life.

She was a graduate of Salerno Elementary and Stuart High School. She was the Assistant Post Master of the Palm City Post Office and the Supervisor of Tags for Martin County Tax Collector's office. She was a founding member of the Palm City Congregational Church.

Julia loved being in her garden, and especially enjoyed hoeing the weeds.

She is survived by her daughters, Martha Beaudoin of Blairsville,GA and Mary Lane of Palm City; grandson, Thomas Zimmerman (Holly) of Bremerton, WA; sister, Virginia Bohannan of Titusville; sister-in-law, Gwen Whittle of Palm City and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service: 1:00PM, Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City Chapel.
