Obituary

June Marie Bielefeldt passed away peacefully at the Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart, Florida on July 17, 2019 at the age of 92.

June was born on July 11, 1927 to Ray Baker and Marie Shaver Baker in Buffalo NY. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Home Economics from Michigan State University. June married Edward Bielefeldt, raised 3 children, and spent nearly three decades in Binghamton, New York, before eventually moving to Stuart, FL during retirement where she enjoyed the beaches and made many friends at The Point Residence.

June had a long career with the New York State Department of Labor. June was actively involved in the Garden Club, hiking, biking, cross country skiing, and the League of Women Voters.  An adventurer who traveled to Machu Pichu hiking the Inca trail, Bryce Canyon in the Western United States, London, Hawaii, Russia, Ireland and the Mediterranean. She always had a smile on her face, loved her family & friends, Jazz Music, Live Performances, spending time with her grandchildren and was a proud Devote Catholic and Proud Irish-American Democrat.

June was predeceased by her former husband and the father of their three children, Edward Bielefeldt, sister and brother in law Phyllis and Norman Moffett, and brother Raymond (Sonny) Baker, Beloved Aunt Julia Shaver, dear friends Jeannette Behrs, Janine Wood, Frances Dickey, and Joe Ranucci.  She is survived by her three children, Tom and wife Gail, Julie Albert, and John and wife Gwynne, and six loving grandchildren, Rachel, Tamara, Ryan Albert, Eric, Kyle, and Kristin.

The family would like to thank her Nephrology and dialysis team for taking such good care of her over the years.

A memorial service will be held at the Forest Hills Funeral Home in Palm City at 11 AM, Saturday July 27th.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation at PKD Foundation, PO Box 871847, Kansas City, MO 64187-1847.
