Karen Ann Schoner, 80, of Port Saint Lucie, a loving mother and friend died peacefully on Thursday March 20th 2025.

She was born to the late Raymond and Doris Lotz on May 14, 1944 in Cincinnati, OH.  Karen graduated from Norwood High School in 1962.

Karen lived a life full of adventure, warmth, and kindness, always finding joy in the beauty of the world around her.

Karen was a flight attendant with Comair/Delta Airlines until she retired and was passionate about traveling. Karen's love for traveling took her to many incredible places, where she embraced new landscapes and experiences. No matter how far she roamed, home was always where her heart was- with her beloved family. She was a source of unwavering love and support, creating cherished memories that will be carried on by those who knew her best.

When she wasn't traveling, Karen could often be found tending to her garden, nurturing flowers and plants with the same care and patience she showed to everyone in her life.  Her green thumb and gentle spirit brought beauty to both her home and the lives of those around her.

Karen was pre-deceased by her son Christopher D. Schoner of Stuart, FL and sister, Roselyn Schuetze of Cincinnati, OH and her parents Raymond and Doris Lotz of Cincinnati, OH. She is survived by her sons, Brian Schoner of Cincinnati, OH and Jeffrey (Megan) Schoner of Port Saint Lucie, FL and her sister, Janet Swann of Cincinnati, OH.  She is also survived by six grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Karen's life and immediate burial will be held at Forest Hills Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 26 at 10 am.  Anyone wishing to send the family a message or share a story is asked to share it here.
