IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Katherine May
Saleh
July 6, 1944 – April 1, 2023
Katherine Saleh
On Saturday, April 1, Katherine Saleh (Kathy), loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend of many, passed away peacefully after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, David Henry Bauer and Helen Elizabeth Bauer, née Burns.
By example, Kathy left her family a number of pathways to follow. She will be remembered for her guiding hand, generous heart, and kind spirit. She left this earth just as she wanted, peacefully in her sleep without pain, completely unafraid and ready to go to her heavenly home. She loved her family and left a legacy of showing everyone around her what it meant to follow Jesus.
She is survived by sons David Saleh (Miyuki), Beshara "Danny" Saleh (Karen Ann), and Jonathan Saleh, daughter Joy Pintal (Patrick), grandchildren Ema and Maiki (David); Nyla (Beshara); Rhema, Laila, and Delilah (Joy); sisters Frances Hall and Maureen Hoyt (Hal); and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
When her children were little, Kathy was a mom to many of their friends in the neighborhood. She was right there in the midst of building forts, playing fun games, and little league. Many such friends kept in contact with Kathy over the years and still speak of the wonderful memories they have of her caring heart.
Kathy was born in Astoria, Queens, New York and grew up in Lake Park. She graduated from Riviera Beach High School (now Suncoast High School). She holds a BS degree in Healthcare Administration from Florida Atlantic University and worked as a Medicare Compliance specialist for different companies.
Services will be held at 10 am on Friday, April 7 at Forest Hills Palm City Chapel with an immediate burial following service at Forest Hills Memorial Park located at 2001 SW Murphy Road. (772) 287 8484. All are welcome. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early.
