Obituary of Keith Sharpe
Keith Lawson Sharpe, 75, of Port St. Lucie dies, January 8, 2009 at the St. Lucie Medical Center, Port St. Lucie.
Born in Claremont, Jamaica, BWI, he had lived in Port St. Lucie for 14 years after coming from Hempstead, NY.
He had been a top insurance representative with British American Insurance in Jamaica for over 12 years. He was the manager of Avon Liquor and Wine in New York City for many years and in retirement he worked at the Rivergate Publix Store in Port St. Lucie.
He was a member of the Del Rio Community Church in Port St. Lucie and was a frequent visitor at Tequesta's First Baptist Church, Tequesta , FL. He also was an active member of the Jamaican American community of Port St. Lucie.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Gloria Sharpe of Port St. Lucie; daughters Ahsaki "Kay" Jones-Bey of Pinole, California and Carol Sharpe-Byng of Royal Palm, Florida; sons, Kieron L. Sharpe of Jupiter, FL, Colin A. Sharpe of Roosevelt, NY and Richard K. Sharpe of Harrisburg, PA; a sister, Everalda Davis of North Miami, FL; 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister and 3 brothers.
SERVICES: Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM on January 15, 2009 at Forest Hills Funeral Homes - Palm City Chapel. The will be a funeral service at 11:00 AM on January 16, 2009 at Tequesta's First Baptist Church, Tequesta, FL. Interment will follow immediately in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
