Obituary of Kenneth Halleran
Kenneth R. Halleran, 72, of Palm City, passed away August 26, 2009 at his residence. He was born in Mineola, NY and had been a resident of Palm City for 5 years, having moved from Long Island, NY. He had been the Fire Chief of the Uniondale Fire Department and member for over 40 years. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Union Local #55, and a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Palm City.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Barbara Halleran of Palm City; sons, Joseph K. Halleran (Gina) of Palm City and Raymond (Debra) of Macungie, PA; sisters, Lorraine Harrison (Allen) of Massapequa, NY, Collette Oliver of Mastic Beach, NY and Maureen Lechner of North Bellmore, NY; sister-in-law, Janet Halleran of Massapequa, NY; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers, Joseph and Roger Halleran, and sister, Joelyn Accardi.
Visitation will be 2-4PM & 6-8PM, Friday at Forest Hills Funeral Homes, Palm City Chapel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00AM, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Palm City.
