Headley
January 4, 1930 – December 10, 2025
Mr. Kenneth Headley passed away peacefully at home on December 10th. His wife Wilma Headley passed away in 2003. They were married for 50 years. He is survived by his two children - Keith Headley of Jupiter, Florida and Susan Decker of Portland, Oregon. He also has two grandchildren, Brittany Brubaker and Blaine Brun, both of Portland, Oregon. He was very close with his sister, Jean Beck, who passed away in 2020, and he enjoyed spending time with her family as well.
Mr. Headley was a veteran of the Korean War. He served in the Army as a Private First Class and he was also an intelligence specialist. He received a Bronze Star for Meritorious Service in connection with military operations against an armed enemy, North Korea He maintained diligent and authoritative surveillance over the status of Chinese Communist forces in Korea.
After receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Washington-Jefferson College in Washington, Pennsylvania, he worked for U.S. Steel, Heinz Food Company, LNG Natural Gas and Applied Science Associates.
In 1981 the Headleys moved to Florida and had a successful custom drapery and interior design business in Jensen Beach for five years. After running the business, Ken started working for Martin County as a Supervisor for the Risk Management Department until his retirement.
He had been under hospice care for several months. His children would like to thank his nurses and caregivers for their efforts on his behalf.
He will be missed by family and friends as a truly special father and friend to people he met during his lifetime.
