Obituary of Kenneth Horsburgh

Kenneth P. Horsburgh, 88, of Palm City, Florida, died October 19, 2008 at his residence at Sand Hill Cove, Palm City, Florida.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio he had been a resident of Palm City for 27 years coming from Cleveland.

He was a graduate of Case School of Engineering, Cleveland where he received a degree in mechanical engineering.

During World War, II he served in the U.S. Navy.

Before retiring he was the vice president of The Horsburgh & Scott Company of Cleveland with which he was associated for 50 years.

He was of the Presbyterian Faith.

He was a member of The Country Club in Cleveland for 35 years. He founded the Les Cheneaux Islands Antique Boat Show in Cedarville, Michigan, his lifetime summer home. He was a member of Pipers Landing Country Club, Palm City for 21 years where he enjoyed boating and golf. He was extremely active in the United Way of Greater Cleveland and Martin County.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Horsburgh; sons Kenneth P. Horsburgh Jr. of Gates Mills, OH and Christopher Horsburgh of Kirtland, OH, and a daughter Laurie Horsburgh Herman of Cincinnati, OH; 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

SERVICES: There will be a memorial service in Cedarville, Michigan on a date to be determined later this summer.
