Obituary of Kenneth Purdy
Kenneth O. Purdy, 101, died Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at Summerville at Jensen Beach.
Born in Dobbs Ferry, NY, he has resided in Martin County since 1972 coming from West Palm Beach; he resided in Stuart and most recently moved to Jensen Beach two years ago.
He was an artist; a retired furniture refinisher, he worked for an interior decorator and had also owned a sign business in West Palm Beach.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Stuart.
Survivors include his wife of 77 years, Edna Purdy of Jensen Beach; son, Kenneth R. Purdy of The Villages, FL; two grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and sister, Betty Phillips of Tifton, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospices, Inc., 1201 SE Indian St., Stuart, FL 34997.
Services: Services will be held at Summerville at Jensen Beach at a later date. Inurnment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Palm City.
Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Hills Funeral Home in Palm City. A guest registry may be signed at www.foresthillsfunerals.com.
