Obituary

It is with deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Kyle Gregory Lazarus, age 47, on January 22, 2026. He was born on June 11, 1978.

Kyle had a sweet, fragile heart and loved his family dearly—his family were his friends. He adored his children; they were his greatest pride and joy. He had a small circle of close friends who filled his life with laughter and smiles. If you ever needed help, Kyle would be there.

Kyle had a silly, sarcastic sense of humor that you couldn't help but love. He was cherished for his uniqueness. He loved making deals and was a true math wizard. He loved all animals and often laughed at his own fondness for ducks.

Kyle found joy in cooking and baking and had a huge sweet tooth. He took great pride in his garden, especially enjoying that time with his daughter. He lit up when telling stories about his son when he was young.

Kyle loved all things cars, especially classic ones. He loved Elvis, classic rock, and old black-and-white movies—that entire era in time. Though a devoted classic rock fan, he was learning to play the ukulele and loved the Hawaiian style.

Kyle had a laid-back, easygoing approach to life—a calm presence that others admired. He seemed to know every fact imaginable, useful or not, and it amazed everyone how much knowledge he carried.

Kyle was truly one of a kind.

He is survived by his children: his daughter, Amia Lazarus, with his wife, Emily Lazarus, and his son, Gabriel Lazarus, from a former marriage.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Viki (Victoria Smith Fallman); his grandmother, Joyce Bond; his grandfather, Bob Smith; his grandmother, Ginny (Virginia Lazarus); and his grandfather, Stanley Lazarus.

He is also survived by his father, Michael Lazarus; his stepmother, Lois Lazarus; his brother, Todd Lazarus; and his stepsisters, Jennifer Zucker and Andrea Terry.

We will always love you. You will never be gone from our hearts. Your memories will be shared with smiles and treasured always. Every time we see a rainbow or hear a ukulele, we will think of you.

We love you, Kyle—always and forever.
