Laura Spring, 95, of Palm City, passed away March 9, 2016. She was born in Hartford, CT and had been a resident of Florida's Treasure Coast for 40 years, having moved from RI. She was founder and Co-administrator of a residential private school for emotionally disturbed and troubled boys, Harmony Hill School in Rhode Island. She was an active member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Stuart, member of the Episcopal Church Women and volunteered at St. Mary's Closet and Bible Study. Laura was a passionate volunteer of the Martin County Audubon Society and Anchor Line Yacht Club.
She is survived by her sons, Sherwood Spring of San Diego, CA, Donald Spring of Wakefield, RI and Jeffrey Spring of Harmony, RI; daughter, Valerie Begin of Chepachet, RI; six Grandchildren and seven Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Edward C. Spring in 2008.
Services will be held at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, Stuart, FL on April 9, 2016 at 11AM. She will always be remembered for her zest of life and friendly welcoming smile.
