Laurene Victoria Flanagan Gregorio

Laurene Victoria Flanagan Gregorio, a loving mother, wife, grandmother, sister, and friend was carried to heaven by angels peacefully on February 14, 2023.

Laurene was the kind of person who had no idea how astoundingly wonderful she was, she just wandered around the world making it a better place — helping others selflessly, and making everyone she came in contact with feel important, cared for, and loved.

Born and raised in Staten Island, NY, Laurene graduated from Curtis High School. She lived across the street from the school with her parents and brother in a four family home; the home overlooked the New York Harbor and the Statue of Liberty.  Growing up, she spent her summers boating and running barefoot around Cranberry Lake.

Laurene fulfilled her professional dreams by becoming an International Flight Attendant. She traveled to Egypt, Rome, Paris, Ireland, and more. She also worked as a Nurse's Aid, caring for others' loved ones as she would her own. But her most important role was that as the matriarch of her family, as the world's best mother to her children, and devoted wife to her loving husband for over 38 years.

Her family is overwhelmed by the love Laurene has poured into them and their lives - enough love to last many lifetimes. The last weeks of Laurene's life were lit up by the joy of her new grandson.

While we ache for her in this world, we know she has been welcomed into heaven with the loving embrace of family, friends, and pets who have passed and who she dearly missed. Laurene's loved ones rejoice, knowing one day, we will all be together again.
