IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lee David
Palmer
May 29, 1944 – May 27, 2021
Lee David Palmer, 76, of Palm City, FL, formerly of Cherry Valley, Ohio, passed away on May 27, 2021.
He was born in Cherry Valley, OH on May 29,1944 Lee served in the United States Air Force Reserves as a Staff Sergeant from 1965-1971. He owned his own business, Palmer Construction in Palm City, FL for 48 years. After retirement, Lee spent most of his days working on his ranch, and taking care of the horses. He enjoyed building things in his workshop. If you gave him a project, he would always create it with pride.
"To the man who always helped everyone, and not wanting anything in return," said Joe Bolster. Lee took the time to teach those who would listen, a new skill and encourage them to become more knowledgeable in life. Lee was a hardworking man, a role model and many people looked up to him. With every hurricane season, he would help others prepare their homes first and then his last. He always put other people's needs in front of his. Everybody knew Lee. No matter how busy he was, he would stop and wave.
Lee loved God, his family and his country. He was a family man and always put them first. He especially loved his grandkids. They brought a huge smile to his face. He never missed a family event unless for good reason.
Lee was the son of the late Donald J Palmer and Janet (Clymer) Palmer. He married Sheryle Thomas on January 7,1967 and is survived by his wife and two children, David Palmer of Palm City, Stephanie (Palmer) Sherman and husband Adam R Sherman of Port St. Lucie. He is survived by two brothers and three sisters, Laura (Palmer)Svenson, Keith Palmer, Fred Palmer, Elma (Palmer) Williams and Ruth Palmer. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren, Joshua Sherman, David Hannon and Elizabeth Hannon. Preceded in death were his brother Roger Palmer, mother Janet Elizabeth Palmer and father Donald J Palmer. He leaves behind many other nieces, nephews, cousins and great family friends.
