Obituary of Lela Cranmer
Lela M. Cranmer, 90, of Tallahassee, formerly of Hobe Sound, passed away October 6, 2009 at her residence. She was born in Chatsworth, NJ. She had been a Florida resident since 1982, having moved from NJ. She lived in Hobe Sound until 1992, when she moved to Tallahassee to be with family. She was a homemaker, and of the protestant faith. She had been a member of the Eastern Star, Bethlehem Chapter #40 in Barnegat, NJ. Lela enjoyed many hobbies including playing piano and organ, cats, crotheting, crafts and painting.
She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Kay Rosenthal of Tallahassee, Judith Adele Tarnow of Palm City, and Terri Lee Lappin of Tallahassee; 2 granddaughters, Holly Morales and April Tarnow; 2 great granddaughters, Brooklynn Morales and Jordan Morales. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin C. Cranmer; sisters, Pearl Dunfee, Rena Shinn and Evelyn Holloway and brothers, Everett Applegate and Frank Applegate.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM, Saturday, October 10, 2009 at Forest Hills Funeral Homes, Palm City Chapel. Entombment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
