On Wednesday, June 10, 2020, Lena Minichino a loving and amazing mother, friend, and Christian, passed away peacefully at the Treasure Coast Hospice House. She was 86.

Lena was born and grew up in the Genoa section of Cliffwood, NJ. At the age of twenty-two she met her soulmate and love of her life, Antonio Minichino. After a brief courtship they married before he returned to serve in the US Air force. They lived in NY and NJ. They quickly moved from an apartment to a new model home in Matawan, NJ where they raised their two children. In 1974 they moved their family to Port St. Lucie, Florida where they built their own piece of paradise. Music was a big part of their life; they shared favorite love songs and often slow danced in their living room They worked together for some years at the Rio Mar Bay Yacht Club in Vero Beach. When first called upon to fill a temporary position, her meticulous nature quickly gained her the position of overseeing the processing of all fine linens for the yacht club.

Her husband "Tony" passed away in 1996. As parents, they are remembered as the best parents in the world. As a couple they are remembered as happy and loving with boundless generosity. It brought them great joy to share the blessings of all holiday celebrations, family vacations and so much more with those who would otherwise not have known such joy. Their integrity and strong faith guided them in raising their family with strong values, confidence, and security. They are an example of a life well lived and leave behind countless happy memories.

In 2004 Lena relocated to Vero Beach where she lived nearby to her daughter and family. She spent her remaining years enjoying life with her family and friends with whom she was inseparable. With her infinite wisdom and outstanding judgement many called on her for encouragement and loving guidance, for which she was always available.

What she enjoyed the most and what was most important to her was spending time with her family. Her family loved and adored her and will cherish the wonderful memories of the time they spent together. Her entire life revolved around her family, faith, and the many friends whom she loved and thought of as family.  Her sense of humor, kindness, and loving heart,  will be remembered and missed by all who knew her.

Her greatest passion was prayer and humbly serving the Blessed Trinity. Her faith was unwavering. She leaves behind the gifts of faith, memories, and love that will never end. She was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure. She will carry on in our hearts until we meet again.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Antonio Minichino, father Ludwig Belloni, mother Louisa Belloni, sister Ann Rose Gorski, and brother George Belloni.  She is survived by her son, Anthony Minichino of Mount Dora, Florida, daughter Kathylee Jones, her husband Douglas and son Douglas Jr, of Vero Beach, FL, as well as Lena's canine companion, Toby. She is also survived by her brother George's son; nephew George Belloni and wife, Helene, two great nephews Brandon and Dylan, and great niece Lauren Belloni of Florida.  Her sister Ann's children; nephew George Dana Belloni, and wife, Mary Ann, two great nephews Antonio and Rocco Belloni, as well as niece Lynn Ann Schlageter, and husband, Glenn and their three children, of NJ. Lastly, she is survived by many loving relatives and friends.

Due to the COVID 19 pandemic and at Mrs. Minichino's request, a private Celebration of Life in loving memory of her, will be held at a later date. Her final resting place will be Forest Hills Memorial Park in Palm City, Florida.
