Lenore A. Lia passed away peacefully on March 4, 2025, in Stuart, Florida.

She was born on November 15, 1946, in Utica, New York to the late Leonard and Louise (Casatelli) Abriola. Lenore attended local schools and was proud to be a Class Officer all four years at Proctor High School graduating in 1964. She also attended Mohawk Valley Community College and served as secretary to the Dean of Students at MVCC.

On December 3, 1966, she married the late Vito Lia and they raised their children Vinnie and Valerie among family and friends on Austin Road in Utica. Lenore was a school secretary at Jefferson Elementary School where she was highly respected by both the staff and students beyond her early retirement in 2001. She moved to Florida to be with her mother and sister LouAnn in 2001, and was employed at Liberty Medical and Harbor Ridge Realty.

In 1980, along with her family, Lenore spent summers in Alexandria Bay, New York where she made lifelong friendships. She loved to entertain, was known for her amazing meals, elaborate table settings and decorations for any occasion.

She is survived by her sister LouAnn (late John) Donnell, her son Vincent (Elizabeth) Lia, her daughter Valerie (Christopher) Cable and her granddaughters Elise and Danielle Lia.

Graveside services will be on Saturday, May 24, 2025, 11am at Calvary Cemetery & Mausoleum in Utica, New York. Memorial services will also be held in her memory this summer in Alexandria Bay, New York.
