Obituary of Lenore Petty
Lenore Koester Petty, 79, of Palm City, FL, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at the Treasure Coast Hospice, Stuart, Florida.
Born in Louisville, KY, she had been a resident of Palm City for 16 years coming from Hershey, PA.
Lenore was a recognized artist, a supporter of wildlife and animals, and a devoted wife, mother, sister, and grandmother.
Before retiring she was a librarian. She received her B.A. in art at University of Louisville, KY, and M.S. in library science from Clarion University, PA. She was a member of Palm Artists' Association.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Thomas W. Petty of Palm City; her daughter, Nicole Petty Brilakis and her husband Emmanouil of Dallas, TX; her son C. Scott Petty and his wife Julie of Dallas; her brother Anthony Koester and his wife Jeanne of Louisville; her sister Carolyn Koester Mathais of Severna Park, MD and her grandchildren, John Petty, Lola Petty, Stelios Brilakis and Thomas Brilakis.
There will be a memorial gathering from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with a Celebration of Life at 12:00 PM on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City.
