Obituary of Leo Desharnais
Leo A. Desharnais, 73, of Palm City, FL passed away January 1, 2010 at Martin Memorial Medical Center in Stuart, FL. He was born in Boston, MA and had been a resident of Florida for 25 years, having moved from Wilmington, MA. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He then worked for the Atomic Energy Commission in Nevada. Leo moved back to Massachusetts, and did electronic consulting work for Motorola responsible for quality control. His experience led him to start his own company in subcontract manufacturing.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary A. Desharnais of Palm City; sons, Dan R. Desharnais of Weston, FL and Phillip L. Desharnais of Coconut Creek, FL; daughters, Colette M. Lawrence of Tewksbury, MA, Diane M. Tremblay of Coral Springs, FL and Lisa A.Desharnais of Deerfield Beach, FL; sister, Trudy Maccini of Orlando, FL and 6 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, Richard Desharnais.
A visitation will be Monday, 3 - 6:00PM at Forest Hills Funeral Homes, Palm City Chapel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, 10:00AM at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Palm City.
Entombment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
