Leonard James Lauwe "Jim" 83, of Stuart, FL passed away on January 8, 2020.

Jim was born in Prospect Park, NJ to Peter and Mary Lauwe on December 12, 1936.  He was predeceased by his father, Peter, mother, Mary, and step father Emil Pantelone.

Jim served in the Military (Air Force) and was a proud patriot. He was stationed in Alaska and primarily did search and rescue missions.  He was very proud of his service to his country and loved to talk about his days in the service.

Jim was a hardworking man who drove tractor trailers for a living. In his younger years he enjoyed boating, fishing, taking cruises, the beach and pool. He had a zest for life and loved to socialize.  He was a fabulous organ player and will be remembered by many for his wonderful musical performances.  Heaven must have needed a great organ player! His music and memory will live on in all who knew him.

He is predeceased by Violet K. Lauwe, his loving wife of 40 years. His two step children, Mark Struck and Donna Struck-Roy, who he raised from young children, reside out of state with their spouses and children.

He is survived and remembered by his loving wife of 6 years, Carla Lauwe, his step children Denise Brown and  Valerie Roddy, their spouses and children, as well as many great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4 - 8 pm on Monday, January 13, 2020 at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City, FL. His funeral service will take place on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at 1 pm at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City, FL.
