Leonard M. Kaler, 88, of Palm City, Florida, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2017 at the St. Lucie Medical Center, Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Born in Miami, Florida, he had been a resident of the Treasure Coast for 20 years coming from Miami.
During the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Army.
Before retiring he had been a pharmacist with Medical Arts Drugs in Miami for 30 years and locally with the Winn Dixie Pharmacy.
He had attended Temple Beit Ha Yam in Stuart, Florida.
Survivors include his son, Barry Kaler of Palm City; his daughter, Judy Kaler of Port St. Lucie and his brothers, David Kaler of Maryland and Ronnie Kaler of Stuart. He was preceded in death by his wife Joan Kaler and his sister, Renee Levitt.
Interment with military honors, provided by the U.S. Army, will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City, Florida.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City.
