Obituary of Leonard Ram

Leonard J. Ram M.D., 48, of Palm City, FL, died December 19, 2012. Born in New York City, he had been a resident of Palm City, FL for 16 years, having moved from Miami, FL. He did his undergraduate studies at Boston University and received his Medical Degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY. He completed his residency and fellowship at the University of Miami. He was board certified in internal medicine, gastroenterology and nutrition. He had a gastroenterology practice in Stuart, FL for 17 years. He was the author of "The Ram Nut Diet" book. He was a member of Temple Bait Hayam, Stuart, FL. Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Lauren Ram; a daughter Rachel Ram and a son Noah Ram all of Palm City, FL; a sister Carol Bourne of Great Neck, NY and a brother Eric Ram of Miami Beach, FL. There will be a service at 12:00 PM on December 23, 2012, at the Forest Hills Funeral Homes, Palm City Chapel with Rabbi Jonathan Kendal officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City, FL.
