Obituary of Leonidas Stratakos

Leonidas Stratakos, 86, of Palm City, passed away August 8, 2015. He was born in Daphni, Greece. He migrated to Canada in 1954, and then to the United States in 1963. He was the owner of a restaurant in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, NY before retirement. He was a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Fort Pierce.

Leonidas loved spending time with all of his family and always put family first. He loved music, dancing, and singing.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Athanasia Stratakos of Palm City; daughters, Helen Svenning (Peter) of Palm City and Mersini Fialo (Salvatore) of Eden Prarie, MN; sisters, Fotini Roussos and Panagiota Siomis (Nicholas) all of Toronto, Canada; Sister-in-law, Milia Stratakos of Daphni, Greece; grandchildren, Anders Svenning, Atheanna (Athanasia) Svenning and Lucas (Leonidas) Svenning, Eleni Fialo, Constantino Fialo and Lucio Fialo; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Harilaos Stratakos and brother-in-law Petros Roussos.

Visitation: 5:00 - 7:00 PM, Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City Chapel.

Funeral Service: 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 13, 2015 at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Fort Pierce.

Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park in Palm City
