Obituary of Leroy Howell
Leroy Howell, 76, of Satsuma, Florida died March 29, 2011 at his home.
Born in Dalton, Georgia, he was a resident of the Satsuma for many years coming from Stuart, Florida.
He served in the U.S. Army. He was a longtime member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1282, Stuart.
Before retiring, he was a heavy equipment operator for Dr. Rooter in Palatka and Ray Cook Septic Tanks in Stuart.
Survivors include his wife Sandra Howell; a son, Paul Williams; daughters, Janet Whiten and Lisa McHenry all of Satsuma; a sister Mildred Burnet of Calhoun, Georgia and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by siblings.
Services will be private. Inurnment will be in Jacksonville National Cemetery at a later date.
For those who wish, contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Nature Coast, 6721 Crill Avenue, Palatka, FL 32177, in Mr. Howell's memory.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Forest Hills Funeral Homes Palm City Chapel.
