Obituary
Lillian Theresa Diebold was born on November 3, 1934; age 86, passed away under hospice care at Sandhill Cove in Palm City, FL. She was born in Erie, Pennsylvania and was the daughter of Curtis and Laura Baker. She graduated from Mount St. Joseph Academy in Buffalo, NY and was a long distance operator for AT&T.
Following her marriage in 1955, she and her husband Donald lived in Tonawanda, NY; Katonah, NY, and Geneva Switzerland before coming to Palm City, FL in 1991. She was an Avid Alpine Skier and an accomplished artist. She was Hostital Eucharistic Minister for Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Palm City for many years and a member of the local YMCA newcomers Club. She was very active in the Sandhill Cove retirement community.
Survivors include her husband, Donald, of 66 years; 3 sons: John of Dallas, TX; Robert of Mahopac, NY; Thomas of Brewster, NY; brother Jerome Baker of Boynton Beach, FL; sister, Kathleen Brandwine of Santa Cruz, CA,; and 8 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and son James.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Friday, July 16 th , at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Palm City, followed by interment in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
