Obituary of Loxie Davis
Loxie O. Davis Jr., 86, of Jupiter, FL, passed away at his residence December 16, 2007. He was born November 13, 1921 in Marion County, WV. Loxie had been a Sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II, and received 6 Bronze Stars during his duty. He had been a supervisor for a tire manufacturer before retirement. He was of the protestant faith.
He moved to Florida 16 years ago from Akron, Ohio. He and his wife lived in Clearwater for 9 years, before moving to Jupiter, where they have lived the last 7 years.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Betty Davis of Jupiter; daughters, Carol Reitz of Lake Park, FL, Donna Davis of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Darlene Poore of Virginia Beach, VA; son, Larry Davis of Kent, OH; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2007 at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City, FL
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Palm Beach County, Spectrum Healthcare Foundation, 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33407, in Mr. Daviss memory.
