IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Madis Garza
Diaz
November 1, 1940 – September 2, 2025
Madis Garza Diaz, 84, of Miami passed on September 2, 2025. She was active and independent and her sudden passing came as a devastating shock to her family and loved ones, leaving a void that can never be filled.
Born on November 1, 1940 in Caimanera, Cuba, Madis was known for her fierce independence, unwavering in her faith and zest for life. She was the true matriarch of the family, cultivating generations on a foundation of unconditional love and support. She was tiny, but mighty-a force of nature- a strong, capable woman who faced life with immense courage, dignity, and the most generous heart.
Mima, as she was affectionately called by her grands, loved and cared for her family, unselfishly pouring everything she had into them physically, financially, spiritually and emotionally. She cherished her three children, five grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. They were her greatest joy. The legacy of her wisdom, strength and faith will live on through the generations she so lovingly raised.
Mima is survived by her children: Mady (Joe) Moreno, Rosie (Brett) Diaz Buller, and Ben (Wendy) Diaz. Her grandchildren: Jessica Gutierrez, Joel Moreno, Cristina Diaz, Sophia Diaz, and Sophia Buller. And her great grandchildren: Jovani Gutierrez, Jordan Watley, and Mia Moreno.
Mass will be held on October 3rd at 1:00pm at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church,1454 SW Mapp Road, Palm City, FL.
She will be laid to rest immediately afterwards at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 2001 SW Murphy Rd, Palm City, FL 34990.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to either Sacred Heart of Jesus (poshusa.org) or St. Jude (stjude.org) two organizations that Madis loved and supported for many years.
