Obituary

Malcolm Reese Myers age 90 of Palm City, FL, formerly of Cleveland, Ohio passed away on December 24, 2023.

He graduated high school from University School, Cleveland, OH and Hampden-Sydney College, 1953-1957, Hampden-Sydney, VA with a BS degree. Upon graduation in 1957, he entered the Navy where he proudly served his country.

An exceptional manager, Malcolm served as President, CEO and then Chairman of Cloyes Gear and Products, Inc. He also served as a Director of Fairfield-Arkansas Community Land Corporation and Director of Standard Products Company in Cleveland, Ohio.

In addition, he was a Lifetime Trustee of both University School and Hampden-Sydney College.

After retirement, he went back to sea on cruise ships, visiting each continent and developing friendships around the world. He avidly enjoyed fishing in the fresh waters of Canada and the world's oceans. He was also a huge Cleveland Browns and Guardians fan, as well as an Ohio State Buckeye fan.

Malcolm was born in Hudson, Ohio on November 19, 1933 to the late Grace Reidenbach and Harry D. Myers. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Barbara and brother-in-law, Christopher Klutz.

He is survived by son, M. Trevor (Sheila) Myers of Valparaiso, Indiana and daughter, Melanie White of Naples, FL.

Malcolm is survived by five much loved grandchildren, Ian (Whitney) Myers, Bridget (Kale) Manual, Daniel (Heidi) Myers, David (Jasmine) White, and Lauren (Justin) Riccobene and three wonderful great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a niece and nephew and many friends from around the world.
