Obituary

Marcia Roff, 95, of Stuart, passed away on March 20, 2016. Daughter of Celia (Milkes) Resnik and Samuel Gleeman, Marcia grew up in the Elmora section of Elizabeth NJ. She was a graduate of Battin High School and continued her education in many venues all throughout her life. Marcia raised her family in Maplewood NJ where she was an active member of the community, participating in the parent-teacher association, Girl Scouts leadership, Hadassah and B'nai Brith. She belonged to Temple B'nai Jeshuran and Crestmont Country Club. In the 1970's, Marcia and husband Harry, retired to Boca Raton FL where they enjoyed their many friendships, golfing and theatre. They were members of Temple Beth El of Boca Raton. In 1994, Marcia moved to Stuart FL to be closer to family.

Characterized by physical beauty, unmistakable style, confidence, caring, warmth and generosity, she exuded tremendous vitality and a passion for life. She was also blessed with a gift for comedy and phenomenal strength of character. She loved travel and visited all seven continents; she always tried "to give something to everyone." Marcia had many life-long friends, but never ceased making new ones; people found her unforgettable.

Mrs. Roff was predeceased by her husband Harry in 1977, and by brother Allen Gleeman of Westfield NJ in 2013. She is survived by her daughter Judy Roff Cialone and son-in-law Phil Cialone of Palm City, FL; daughter Jill Roff and Jill's life-partner Gary Gozemba of Newton MA and Palm City FL; grandchildren Patty and Jonathan Brookshire of Palm City; John Cialone and David Seleb of Chicago; and great grandchildren Christine and Stephanie Brookshire; sister-in-law Bobby Gleeman of Westfield NJ, nephews Marc and Andy; and loving caregivers Dolores Soto and Indra Maharajh.

Interment will be on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, 1:30 pm at Boca Raton Municipal Cemetery 449 SW 4th Avenue, Section H, Boca Raton, FL. The family will be sitting Shiva on Thursday, March 24 from 1 p.m. to 7 pm at the home of Judy & Phil Cialone, 1921 SW York Lane, Palm City, FL. Shiva service will be held at 6 p.m.
