Margaret Dorene (Dorey) Meekison, born in Lakeland, Florida on May 23, 1985, died in Broward Co. Florida on March 27, 2021 of an accidental drug overdose.

She leaves behind her two sons, Dante (12) and Dane (8), who loved her dearly during the short time they had with her. Melvin Lloyd and Catherene Lynne Barbre, her parents, loved her more than words can convey.  She also leaves behind her former husband Christopher George Meekison, his Mother Sally and stepfather Jerry Morris, who loved her like a daughter.

Dorey had the unique ability to touch the hearts of everyone she met. She had a zest for life and loved being a mommy, spending as much time as possible with her precious sons.

Dorey enjoyed her work as a hair stylist and was often praised by her customers. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. We all feel blessed to have shared her brief journey. Dorey, you were loved by more people than you could possibly imagine.

A celebration of Dorey's life is scheduled for April 10, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 2401 SW Matheson Avenue, Palm City, FL 34990.

The family requests that, if so inclined, donations be made to your local women's treatment program in her name in lieu of flowers.
